Pale-mandibled Aracari - Pteroglossus erythropygius (Ecuador)
János Oláh 2009-08-30 13:05:33 A fantastic bird of the western lowlands of Ecuador. Until recently (when found just across the border in extreme northwestern Peru) one of a dozen or so true Ecuadorian endemics. Note that HBW 7 and SACC (the South American Classification Committee of the A.O.U) lump this form (and Stripe-billed Aracari P. sanguineus) in Collared Aracari P. torquatus. Crested Owl - Lophostrix cristata (Ecuador)

Cinnamon Woodpecker - Celeus loricatus (Ecuador)
